This mid terrace period property in East Ham was suffering from a degraded loft space, with leaks and an infestation. We transformed the space into a living area flooded with natural light and an ensuite bathroom. To achieve the required legal height we installed a steel in the second bedroom beneath the loft, then repaired the room ready for decoration. The project also included bespoke shelving, a built in wardrobe, ample storage space in the eaves, the restoration of the downstairs stairway, and a new second floor stairway to match. In this case the property had laminate flooring in place throughout. We removed this flooring to reveal and restore the attractive original wooden floor beneath.
